The Morongo Basin Historical Society’s 2nd Wednesday Lecture Series speakers focus on a broad range of topics of local interest. With a thriving community of professionals from Joshua Tree National Park, local artists, authors and professors, our speakers are experts in local history, environmental studies, natural science, Native American culture and the arts.
The lectures are held at the Hi-Desert Nature Museum 57116 Twentynine Palms Hwy. Yucca Valley 92284 from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Due to Covid-19, the society’s popular 2ndWednesday Lecture Series, a live event is currently on pause. Therefore, we are now partnering with Coachella Valley History Museum, Hi-Desert Nature Museum, La Quinta Historical Society and La Quinta Museum to produce a Zoom virtual lecture series called The Desert Lecture Collaborative. These are free events.
